Illinois Prairie Waterfowl Seminars:
February 5, 2009
Dear Outdoor Enthusiast:
I wanted to write you to let you know of some excellent opportunities for you to enrich your knowledge in waterfowl and waterfowl hunting.
Beginning February 19th and continuing every third Thursday through July, Illinois Prairie will be hosting free waterfowling seminars at Jamani Java, on the east side of Bloomington (address at bottom of this letter). These seminars will cover various aspects of waterfowl and waterfowl hunting with a new topic monthly.
These seminars will feature a guest speaker that will talk for 45 minutes to an hour about a specific waterfowl hunting topic. Question and Answer along with general conversation will proceed following the seminar. All seminars are slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
The first seminar is Thursday, February 19th with Pat Gregory discussing decoy collecting.
March 19 - Ben O’Neal, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois will discuss using Doppler radar to track waterfowl migrations.
May 14 - Kirk Ijams- Certified Wing Shooting Instructor - “Wing shooting Tips”,
June 11 - Eric Esposito – Master Taxidermist - “How to care for your trophy”
More speakers will be lined up soon and you’ll be able to find a full calendar here.
I hope that you are able to attend some of these excellent seminars and hope that you find these seminars an added value to your Delta Waterfowl membership or serve as a conduit for you to just enjoy waterfowl and waterfowl hunting.
As always, please feel free to call or message me with any questions – you can find my contact info below.
With much thanks,
